Joiner Race Cars (JRC) is proud to announce plans to expand
JRC’s West Coast racing operations in 2012. The new expansion
plans include the addition of the new JRC Gen-I chassis line
up, a multi-car effort in the SRL Southwest Tour, and a new
NASCAR K&N Pro Series driver development program.
JRC has made an exclusive agreement with Victory Circle Race
Cars who will serve as the manufacturer and retailer of the
all new JRC Gen-I chassis line-up. The new line of chassis
will include a popular “straight rail” version of the Gen-I
truck arm design for 2012.
“JRC has a long and successful history of working with Victory
Circle Race Cars, and we felt that their first class
facilities and experience in chassis fabrication offered us an
opportunity to expand our chassis development efforts, while
maintaining our commitment to quality and performance,” JRC
co-owner Joe Farre said. “JRC will remain the sole owner of
the JRC chassis line and will provide chassis design and
engineering services throughout the chassis manufacturing
process, while Mark Lundgren of Victory Circle will oversee
the fabrication and construction of all new JRC chassis.”
JRC will utilize the information and data gathered during the
design and testing of the Gen-I perimeter chassis to turn its
focus to the design and construction of an all new
straight-rail version of the Gen-I truck arm chassis. This
new chassis will be offered for use in other late model racing
series throughout the U.S.
In a separate growth move, JRC will begin its first season of
NASCAR K&N Pro Series driver development in partnership with
Steven Blakesley of Blakesley Sports Media. Blakesley will
spearhead the program as Director of Driver Development and
his PR firm will be the firm of record for both the SRL and
NASCAR K&N programs in 2012.
Blakesley has nearly 10 years of racing experience to bring to
the table and will administer most of the off-track
responsibilities for JRC in promotions and marketing. JRC is
already seeing intense interest from funded drivers in the
driver development program with Jacob Gomes recently
announcing he will run for the team in a full-time SRL and
part-time K&N schedule in 2012.
JRC’s continued growth of the existing SRL program will be
enhanced by its strong association between co-owner, Junior
Joiner, and Thorsport Racing. “We saw major gains in our
racing program in 2011, and those gains were closely tied to
my involvement with the Thorsport Racing program,” Joiner
said. “I look forward to even more gains in our JRC chassis
and technical program in 2012. We are fortunate to have the
team to take advantage of these opportunities and the drivers
who can put these gains into practice on the track.”
