Garcia Racing roster expands with Gaylord, Lynch
Team press release by Blakesley Sports Media

LODI, CALIFORNIA (January 11, 2013) – After announcing last week that the team will compete in the Lucas Oil Modified Series with a three car approach, Lodi's Mike Garcia and Garcia Racing have announced part-time NASCAR Modified programs for Colorado's Tripp Gaylord and California's Todd Lynch.  Gaylord and Lynch will make limited appearances in Garcia Racing equipment.

Gaylord, 17, is a son of former NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West standout Scott Gaylord.  The Golden, Colorado resident raced a combination of pavement and dirt Modified races last season, including five starts at Stockton 99 Speedway in Stockton, CA.  Gaylord's season was headlined by a sixth place finish in regular competition at Stockton and a seventh place finish in the prestigious Fall Classic Open Show.

The debut for Gaylord in Garcia Racing equipment will be on May 4 at Stockton in a companion race with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West.

"This is a great opportunity to jump in a great racecar with a great team," Gaylord said.  "Mike Garcia has a great program.  Every time I have seen his cars at the track they are competing for a win.  I believe with Garcia Racing we will be able to get solid top-five finishes and compete for a win every race."

Gaylord joins an already impressive driver roster that will include Atherton, CA's Nik Romano and Turlock, CA's Wes Miller both competing for the 2013 Lucas Oil Modified Series championship.  The Lucas Oil Modified Series is a televised series that tours across the southwest with a nine race schedule.

Miller is a veteran asset for the team and most notably won the 2011 Stockton 99 Speedway NASCAR Modified championship in the Garcia Racing #57.

"Wes is a huge part of our success as an organization," Garcia said.  "Combining young talented drivers like Tripp and Nik with Wes' experience really makes us confident that we have a strong team for 2013."

Joining Gaylord in a limited capacity of NASCAR Modified races will be veteran Todd Lynch of Tracy, CA.  Lynch has competitively entered self-owned Modifieds at Altamont Raceway Park, Stockton 99 Speedway, and All American Speedway over the years.

A third driver for the Garcia Racing Lucas Oil Modified Series team is to be announced at a later date, with additional seats still available in both the Lucas Oil and NASCAR Modified circuits.  For more information, contact Mike Garcia at or follow them on Facebook at "Garcia Racing"
