LARSON SWEEPS TULARE THUNDERBOWL ACTION ON FRIDAY NIGHT

Elk Grove's Kyle Larson continued where he left on in 2011 by sweeping both the King of the West and USAC West Coast 360 features on Friday night at Tulare Thunderbowl. Larson drove the #57 Paul Silva mount to win his heat and feature for King of the West and took the #72 Keith Ford-owned entry to victory in both the heat and feature for USAC West Coast 360s. Larson will try to follow up the performance when both series race on Saturday night as well.
UPDATE: Larson took care of business again on Saturday, by winning the USAC West Coast 360 feature from 20th starting position.  In the King of the West, Larson led through lap 25 before blowing his engine and handing the lead to Rico Abreu.  Abreu took the victory ahead of Jon Allard and Tim Kaeding.

GRIGSBY AND MILBURN WIN ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY RACES

Rio Linda 16 year-old Chase Grigsby won his first career NASCAR Modified race on Saturday night at All American Speedway while Idaho's Travis Milburn fended off 2011 track champion Matt Scott to win a 16 car Late Model race.  Jamie Krzysik drove the Bill McAnally Racing #16 to third.  Grigsby took the lead on lap 35 when Scott Winters and Jason Philpot tangled out of the top-two positions.  Scot Alves and Rick Andersen rounded out top-three.

Alberta, Canada driver Jamie Krzysik, the 2010 IMCA Canada National Champion, has launched a new website at www.JamieKrzysikRacing.com In 2012, Krzysik is racing in the NASCAR Late Models for Bill McAnally Racing and will continue to race part-time in the Modifieds back home as well. The site was designed by our parent company Blakesley Sports Media.

SRL SOUTHWEST TOUR ENTRY LIST FOR VEGAS IS RELEASED

29 cars are entered for Saturday's Blackjack 121 for the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour at the Las Vegas Bullring. Returning to the series will be Joiner Race Cars with driver Andy Allen in the flagship #26 Sigma Engineering Toyota. 2011 All American Speedway winner Bobby Hodges is also among the entries. IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY TO ANNOUNCE 2012 SEASON PLANS SOON

StevenBlakesley.com has learned that the 2012 reopening plans for Irwindale Speedway will be announced within a week.  Races will return to the half-mile speedway possibly as soon as the July 4th weekend with weekly races to take place every other weekend from there on out.  More information should be released soon.

WEST COAST TRANSMISSION TO SPONSOR SRL RACE AT ROSEVILLE

West Coast Transmission, sponsor of Blakesley Sports Media client Zane Lovelace, Jr. in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour, has stepped up to sponsor the series event on Saturday October 13 at All American Speedway in Roseville.  The race will be titled the "West Coast Transmission 125" and takes place during the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, West weekend at the venue.  NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models will race on Friday night as well.
